Hi I’m Becca Whitaker! This is me with my darling bunny Princess (who ALWAYS wants to be petted when I am drawing).
I am an illustrator and pop culture junkie who wants to be whisked away in the TARDIS by the 9th Doctor. I love pretty girls, pin-ups, Barbarella, the singing career of William Shatner and Isaac Asimov’s mutton chops. Sometimes I wish I had hands….

Some of you may remember a post last week asking people if they’d like to participate in a group tumblr for artists… well some talented artists said yes and starting next Monday The tumblr Art Challenge begins!
Each Monday we will post a theme for that week’s art challenge and in the days that follow we will post our resulting art! Sound like fun? I sure think so :)

In theory it would be a bunch of us artists on tumblr and every week we would pick a theme of something to draw, paint, etc. It would be one drawing a week but there would hopefully be a few of us posting. So for instance say we picked the muppets as a theme, as part of the group you would create one muppet themed piece to be posted on the tumblr in that week.
Who is game? Is anyone game? It sounds like lots of fun!

Here is a drawing I did of Sean Young’s character from Blade Runner, Rachel. I got a chance to meet Ms Young at a convention recently and asked her to sign it! See you can tell she is star cause she signs her name with one :D
